Beef Wellington

Beef Wellington! This was one of my favorite recipes to try. Inside we have a nice cut of beef fillet, wrapped in a mushroom mix, wrapped again in prosciutto, and wrapped again in savory herb crepes, and lastly wrapped in puff pastry. An amazing dinner with steamed broccoli and a beef jus lie, completes the package!

Wavin Flag

This was for my friends birthday, she had a fourth of July birthday and she wanted a couple cupcakes for her friends and family. I made about 90 mini cupcakes in red velvet, blue velvet, and Pina colada. I didn't know what exactly happened at the tie but the butter cream separated and I couldn't make another batch, I just ended up soaking the butter cream in liquid part and put the cream on top if they didn't mix back together. They still turned out good and everyone loved them, unfortunately though they didn't cover them up that night and the dog ate all of them... gonna be a messy day for then.

Duck Plate

Braised duck breast with roasted potatoes, peas, pearl onions, and blueberry wine sauce. This actually wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be, it's all just about timing. The duck needs to be pink in the middle, the potatoes need to be tender, and the blueberry wine sauce needs to the right consistency. But overall, and amazing tasting dish.

Chicken and Vegetable Soup

Chicken and vegetable soup, good for colds and looks very colorful. Awesome for the colder weathers, lots of vegetable flavor, with a couple hints of chicken. Really simple, and hearty.

Duck Duck Goose

This is my early stuff, I didn't know how to bake much at the time. Cupcake were my thing so I looked up books and website and I found this cute design which I had to try. It's basically a marshmallow with starburst candy for the feet, then you dip it in melted icing. It turned out really cute! hehe duck butt, duck butt, duck butt.  ^_^

This is the normal duckie, for the head we used a timbit/doughnut hole, dipped in icing, then stuck with smarties and starburst beak. Your suppose to use m n' m's for the eyes cause they're smaller, but I couldn't find the right size ones so I used smarties....not sure if it makes him look cute of crazy but meh, it was a first attempt.

Schnitzel

Ok so in my class we had to make schnitzel with barley to sell in the store downstairs, so mind you I have another 4 trays of these. It was the first time I ever made schnitzel and I actually never ate barley till. It became one of my favorite things to eat at home. It's a pretty healthy dish and it tasted really good. I actually ended up making too much, but my classmates didn't mind taking some home. ^_^

Creamy Celery soup

It's the 2nd day of class, I was so excited to learn how to cook something and wanted to jump on the wagon and learn how to make souffles and what not. But of course everyone has got to learn the basics first before they  can do anything else. In this case it was soup, no this I wasn't to happy about, but this ended up being one of my favorite soups and now I realize the technique needed behind this art and now crave this soup about once a week. This legendary soup is called "cream of celery," now it might not sound very great, but this was one of the creamiest soups I have ever tasted, on top of the soup there is a toast baguette slice with blue cheese (which is actually an amazing combination).
